Tourist Smart Service Platform (P.I.S.T.A.)
With the objective of promoting a quality tourist offer adapted to the travelers expectation of the XXI century, GOWEX, Barcelona Digital Centro Tecnológico (BDigital) and Gralek Consultores are working of the development of the first Smart Service Platform for the tourist (P.I.S.T.A.), co finance by the 2011 INNPACTO program.The application, that will be free, it’s the development of a user platform for mobile devices, capable of suggesting in real time the best available cultural and leisure offer which will depend with the preferences, needs and location of users and that can be used through public WiFi networks. Of the innovation technologies it stands out the integration a recommendations engine which incorporates cloud learning and artificial intelligence and will offer data of needs and preferences for users and their context.
PISTA Project has been recognized as a Thinktur technological platform and has received the “Thinktour coherence stamp” by acknowledge to the alignment of the project with strategic priorities of the Platform.
Smart information system for public transport users (SILO)
GOWEX leads the project for technological development “SILO” – geolocalized & contextualized information system for public transportation – which pretends to construct a smart of content and information distribution, focused in urban fleets and intercity buses.This project created in national scope, has the objective of contextualize the distributed content for each bus/user/situation, to information coming from sensors network, final device and through Geolocalization of information assets.
The workbench of the Project, included in the frame and co finance by the Economy and competition ministry program INNPACTO 2011, is financed and with participation of: GOWEX and Tecnalia.
Ubiquitous Wireless System of access and sensors service (SIUSAS)
The project SIUSAS, developed by GOWEX on a assistance basis given by the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial CDTI, tries to clear the main barriers for the creation of a Wireless Smart City, for heterogeneity of the wireless technologies access and the diversity access supplier.The technology base of this application will demonstrate through the incorporation of basic elements necessary for the implementation of three scenarios considered in reference to the creation of Smart cities, as transportation, represented by public services of transportation: security, represented by CCTV and efficient energy, through the use of networks and energetic sensors.
Also, it’s considered the general provision scenario of internet access for the final user, implemented for all previous scenarios, providing a ubiquitous access experience in mobility.
Smart Mobile Assistant (SUSAN)
The project of Smart Mobile Assistant (SUSAN), co financed by the Industry, Tourism, Commerce Ministry in the field of the Avanza Contenidos Digitales 2011 program, has the main objective of creating smart application that helps greatly the access to basic internet functions of search and content presentation, electronic commerce and helpdesk, sharing internet access with a voice interface where the phone has an added value. The combination of voice access and direct search in internet is the basis of smart assistance applicative of this project.
This smart applicative can be organized in specialized agents customized to the needs of every type of user. The better use of the WiFi existing infrastructures and their capability of transmission will allow supporting the data plan necessary for the fluid transmission capacities of this applicative, and for the provision of existing internet content.
Public transport ubiquitous connectivity implementation (UCONNECT)
GOWEX leads the Project of Wireless Smart Transport UCONNECT, co finance by the european program Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), focused in the development of Smart systems for public transportation (ITS)¨for the own transportation, which will affect in global efficiency of the city as for the passengers that use it. UCONNECT has the main objective of obtaining the ubiquitous connectivity for Public transportation through three systems that will develop the necessary network technology, based in the system handover, that enables that the devices can connect with independence of the carrier and the access network in a interoperation system, that allows devices to use various access networks at the same time. Increasing available broadband and allowing the use of specific technologies for the data transmission and obtaining a greater efficiency in transmission capacities, and operational cost.
Management and spectrum efficiency and energetic monitoring of a telecommunication carrier (GREEN)
GOWEX leads the development of Management and spectrum efficiency and energetic monitoring of a telecommunication carrier (GREEN), co finance by the INNTERCONECTA program of Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI), whose objective is to seach solutions for reducing the energetic usage that a telecommunication carrier needs to offer a determine capacity. Keeping that objective in mind a proper use of the spectrum, identifying that zones with spectrum shares, and energy demand better adjusted to the needs.
GREEN understands the development of motorizing the energetic usage and effective occupation for the spectrum for a part of a telecommunication carrier; actuation protocol and for an organized reutilization of the spectrum and a reduction of energy consumption and the development of monitoring the spectrum occupation equipment and efficient energy transmission. The expected improvement, in a international inertia in this direction, should benefit by a reduced cost of exploitation for telecommunication carriers and a more harmonic environment.
