Grupo Gowex Chief Garcia Plans to Make Acquisitions, May Buy Back Shares

Gowex, whose suppliers include Telefonica SA (TEF), France Telecom SA (FTE)’s Orange division and Jazztel Plc (JAZ), will invest as much as 16 million euros ($23 million) of cash to buy businesses, Garcia said in a telephone interview. Madrid-based Gowex may use stock to make acquisitions, he said. Share prices have fallen worldwide this year because of the debt crisis, reducing prices for buyers.

GOWEX improves their 2011 first semester results

GOWEX (GOW-MAB, ALGOW-NYSE Euronext), a company expert in developing WiFi Cities, continues with the growth shown during previous years and obtained a 3.2 Million Euros profit in first semester 2011. This data represents a 42.5% growth to previous year. The sales figures went up to 25.7 million Euros in the same period of time, with an organic growth of 24.5%.
